Comment for "hotel.com". I made the booking with you 2 days prior to my arrival at Bad Bentheim. In my booking comment I stated the fact that I brought 2 dogs with me. Now when I arrived I discovered that I did indeed not hold any reservations what so ever. HOw is that possible.......Shame on you "hotel.com". Well I was really lucky and the hotel did have accomodation that night for all of us, so I guess you could say the story did have a happy ending after all. But still..... Well what I liked the best was the spacious room with the spacius bed oh yes and particularly the hights of the cieling.
I think the hotel needs to change the frying oil in the kitchen, get a new Chef and give the kitchen a very good clean.

We were initially given a dark room on the ground floor on the side of the hotel near the railway line. Following our complaint we were moved to a good room on the first floor on the opposite side of the hotel over looking the woods. It's unfortunate that we weren't offered this room to start with since first impressions count. Otherwise our stay was good.

We had a wonderful romantic escape with lovely surroundings, perfect for a peaceful getaway. the hotel provided us with spacious and clean rooms featuring modern furniture. We appreciated having Wi-Fi available to us throughout the hotel and convenient access to the forest for a romantic stroll. the breakfast was filling and had various options to please everyone's taste.
Not all of the staff were fluent in English, which made communication a bit challenging at times. We also found the bus yard nearby to be quite noisy at night, which detracted from the peaceful surroundings.

location, service and atmosphere
There is too much unpleasant music in the restaurant, but this seems to be a disease in almost all hotels nowadays. We would love hotels to switch the music off completely

Had a great Christmas at this hotel! Loved the cozy rooms with balconies and the option to enjoy tea on the balcony would have been nice. The location right next to the forest made it perfect for walking and cycling.
The restaurant was a bit disappointing. The dinner included in the package deal had some high-level dishes but also some terrible mistakes.
